‘Sounding Mā’ohi memories through podcast: Spiralling towards Mā’ohi climate change futures in “Nu/clear stories” (2023-)’ by Dr Josephine Goldman (University of Sydney)

This reading group will continue our conversations around media and the ocean, with a new focus on media infrastructures through the topic of ‘Media Infrastructures and the Ocean’. It will be chaired by Dr Giulia Champion and Dr Elis Jones and held at 12-1pm GMT on the 4th September. Please adjust to your own time zone. The meeting will be held on Zoom.

This reading group will focus on the topic of “Merfolk, the Ocean and the Littoral”. It will be chaired by ESTUARY members Dr Maria Geustyn and Marion Troxler and held on the 26th August at 10am GMT. Please adjust for your own time zone.

We will be discussing a range of creative writing and academic scholarship on the topic of merfolk, curated by Maria and Marion.

The fourth reading group of the year will focus on the topic of ‘Media Studies and the Ocean’. It will be chaired by Dr Giulia Champion and Dr Elis Jones and held at 12-1pm BST on the 7th July. Please adjust to your own time zone. The meeting will be held on Zoom.
